Hi people need bit of advice I've brought a 100gallon flexarium for my panther and was wondering if place my basking bulb on top of it will it eventually burn the mesh ? Would it be better to have it hanging above the flexarium ? Thanks

I'm no a 100% on this but I'll tell you what I've done on mine I have my basking lights up off the screen and my ceramic heater is directly on the screen and it's not hurting a thing and it get freaking hot so? I think your might be ok maybe someone with more experience will chime in

I woudl suggest removing that heat emitter from your screen.
Your chameleon can get burned from that.

if you lay the dome on the screen, your bulb should not touch the screen, just the rim of the dome will, atleast the kind of domes I use for my basking bulbs anyways!

Where it is he has no way of getting to it and it only comes on at night when he's sleeping when the ecozone kicks it on usually for an hour or two around 4-6 am

Thanks for the replys people and yeah Carol I've got one of them exo terra domes so sounds like I should be alright :) can't wait for the flexarium to arrive just in time for Xmas :) thanks people

If he can reach any side of the screen and climb.. he can reach the top. trust me.
I have low plants in my baby cage, and he will climb the screen then hit the roof, even though his closest spot is a good 6 inches from the top.
