flex seal

Has anyone ever thought of spraying flex seal on the back of a screen cage? I hear people using shower curtains and trash bags, maybe this is a better solution? I don't have a cham yet but planning on an oustalet and a 24x24x48 and spraying the back, the entire bottom, and partial sides to keep up humidity.
Good idea or not enough info on the product yet?

Seems like an interesting idea. Ide just aire on the side of caution on its chemical composition and how it will break down over time when exposed to heat/UV/ and constant moisture.

I've used the stuff before on other products and it works great but man does it smell awful. If you try it ide make sure you let the enclosure air out for a few weeks before you use it.

I have wanted to use it for different animal cages myself. My issue is that it says right on the can not tested for potable water use. Until its safe to use on drinking water I would not feel safe using it for my pets. Just my .02 no other research involved. :)

Haven't used it on anything, but I wonder...just because the can says it wasn't tested for potable water use doesn't mean it might not be OK on a cage screen. IF you cured it completely and the cham would not be licking the coated surface directly it might be fine. I'm sure that warning is there so someone doesn't try using it to seal leaky serving dishes and cups, or containers that hold water constantly (pitchers and water jugs, etc). You could ask the manufacturer anyway.
