Will a 18x18x36 cage work throughout a female flap necks adulthood? I do not have room for another 24x24x48 cage. And is there any major differences vitamin/ misting needs between a flap neck and veiled? Both are females. Can I put their cages by each other? Only reason for sudden flap neck needs is my wife's friend order a mouse/hamster for her daughter and this flap neck came instead and they have been housing it in a ten gallon aquarium with sand substrate. On a side note does anyone have any favorite vine packages? I'm currently am using magnaturals and safe, real plants in my veiled cage.

It should work for at least a good while -way better than a tank You'll need a divider so they don't see each other - I would give her an extra misting

Your welcome - but I'm not a sir- I'm not offended though there's a lot of members that I originally assumed were male.

As soon as I hit post that thought crossed my mind! I'm sorry. But basic is my method too. Less things to go wrong but I am considering a misting system. I'm hoping to be able to have it somewhat close to my apex on my saltwater tank so I can control and monitor it on my phone

My flapneck will puff herself out to try to make herself look bigger - that being said it's possible that she's gravid - I have no experience whatsoever with gravid chameleons so I would not have a clue one way or the other - I'd look for the signs - I looked to see if you had posted pictures but missed your thread- by now she should be in her new cage I guess and maybe is a little less stressed out after a bit of settling in - hopefully not digging around the bottom of her new cage -

You should quarantine her...keep her in another room for quite a while to make sure she is healthy and doesn't pass something on to your veiled.
Are you aware that some species like veileds can lay eggs without mating and that you should provide them with a proper egglaying site in the cage at all times after they are sexually mature?
