First time cage setup

Sooo, let me first start off by saying I'm sorry for posting so much in the past two days on the forum, my excitement and lust for information is getting the better of me. Anyways, so right now I'm trying to get my cage idea set. So im going to be getting an exo terra 24x18x36, possibly even the 36x18x36. Now, my question is mostly drainage: I was thinking of putting a hole in the bottom that leads to a drip pan (If its not tempered glass, does anyone know off hand?) hydroballs, topped with a mesh covering, topped by organic soil and live plants that I will be putting in, then covered by large river rocks. Lots of vines and what not too of course. for the functionality, a king mister, 24 in reptisun 5.0 bulb, a basking dome, and a thermo gun. Good? Comments and concerns MORE then welcome, especially with the drainage.
Thanks!!

You can drill the glass with the right bit. I have also seen people knock the bottom out completely, and replace it with plexiglass/plastic.

If you are going to go all out with the hydroballs and such, you shouldnt need drainage. If you are going to leave it bare, then drill it, or replace the bottom;)

(dont be sorry about posting)

Ahh I see. So if I went the hydroballs route, how often would I need to clean out the entire cage? And are there any downs to doing it the way with the soil/hydroballs/plants and such? othe then cost I mean.
