First night to sleep in his free range room.

Tonight Picasso climbed up on an upper branch on his free range tree, put on his PJ's and fell asleep, my husband doesn't like to run the heater at night when we sleep so I put a portable oil heater in that room and closed the door, it is glass so we can see him when we want to, so I decided to just let him sleep in there and maybe there for now on. I am going to put a humidifier in there to keep the humidity level up and will mist him several times a day, and I will put him in his enclosure in the mornings for his warm water shower and to eat.....does anyone think this may not be a very good idea, please let me know, he sure seems very happy in that tree.

That's fine. I let Smeagie and Noogie spend the night out on the free range
on weekends.
You only need to have temps in the 60's at night, but you will need to collect him in the morning and take him home.
If you wait too long putting him back under his basking lamp, he will get very
weak and will not be able to grasp on to his branches and may fall.

Squee is new to the free range, which is a series of 46'' wooden latters suspended from the ceiling with the ends togher to form a "Beltway" loop all around the room, with vine "exits" off the main road going to all 4 cages.
I have a pic in the free range threads.

Anyway, Squee cant be trusted to stay in one spot and go to sleep.
He's still too young

I have to ask. Don't you get poop all over your house with them walking all around the ceiling and over top your furniture?

LOL! I was worried about that, but so far, no poop on the floor.
They mostly go early in the day, or morning, so by the time they get on
their free range, they have already pooped!

Also, I like to make sure they have absorbed all the heat and UV they need right after waking up before I let them out.

Haha! I could always put down a dropcloth of some kind, a few old bedsheets, etc.!?
