First ever breeding!

I have a male nosy be and a female blue bar panther so it would be a cross breed But im extremely excited! how long should i leave them in the cage together?

Should i keep her in there overnight or wait and put her back in tomorrow and how long should they mate for?

I have no way done any breeding but from what I have read you do not want to leave her in there over night. You can try again tomorrow she will let you and him know if she is gravid.

doesn't she retain the sperm until she gets eggs?

I leave the male in with the female until she starts to reject him....but not overnight. Signs of rejection....swaying/rocking back and forth, gaping, gravid coloration, etc

I always introduce them by holding the male outside the female's cage so they can see each other but not attack each other. If the female remains calm and does not gape, hiss, rock back and forth, darken her colors and the male does not act aggressively then the male may be placed in he females cage...but continue to watch them until you are sure they aren't going to fight. I leave them together as long as they aren't aggressive until the female starts to reject the male....as long as the male behaves too.
