Hello! After months of research, I have compiled the following ”to buy” list. I have not yet purchased my chameleon and will wait until I am completely set up. Please let me know any suggestions or improvements. Thanks!

Cham: Seeking a 3 month old male Veiled(Northeast/East Coast breeder suggestions welcomed!)

Cage: Zoo Med Reptibreeze Open Air Screen Cage XL 2ft x 2ft x 4ft (Size chosen based on this article: https://preview.tinyurl.com/yyvbd699), 3ft stand & 5gal drainage bucket

UVB: Reptisun Terrarium 24” Hood and T5 HO 5.0 bulb (Can I find a cheaper generic hood?)

Heat: Clamp Light w/Aluminum Reflector and A19 Frosted Incandescent 60W bulb

Fogger: Zoo Med Reptifogger (Should I just go for the MistKing Starter System?)

Dripper: Zoo Med Big Dripper

Temp & Humidity: Acurite Digital Hygrometer & Indoor Thermometer

Calcium & Multi: Miner-All Calcium/Mineral Supplement Indoor with D3, Rep-Cal Herptivite Multivitamin

Live Plants: Ficus Benjamina, Golden Pothos Vine, Dwarf Umbrella Tree (Cleaned before placing in the cage)

Will install staggered horizontal branches and a basking perch 7” from heat lamp

No substrate

You’ll want the Fogger to be going at night to raise the humidity and also since veileds are shy drinkers, they’ll breathe in the fog as they sleep and get hydrated that way. I have an electronic mister set for two mins in the morning right when I turn the lights on and for 1 min when I turn them off at night. I use a hand mister once during the day. And keep a dropper going for a couple hours a day

Can't wait to see the new cham when you get it! Especially in a brand new cage. It's very smart that you are building first then getting the cham later. It will make the chameleon happy for sure having immediate good places to hide and relax in a sense foliage cage. Good luck to ya! Be sure to post pics along the way to please ^_^

UVB: Reptisun Terrarium 24” Hood and T5 HO 5.0 bulb (Can I find a cheaper generic hood?)
You can, but there have been issues with the reflectors. This article will explain:

IDK how vendors are handling this as far as testing their fixtures before sending them out.
It wouldn't hurt to have a discussion with a vendor ahead of ordering one of these fixtures.

Heat: Clamp Light w/Aluminum Reflector and A19 Frosted Incandescent 60W bulb
I've seen some LED bulbs inaccurately sold as "incandescent". They usually say something like "XX Watt equivalent". Halogen floods (not spots) work well too, and are slightly more efficient than incandescents.

Fogger: Zoo Med Reptifogger (Should I just go for the MistKing Starter System?)
Fogger ≠ Mister, but it looks like that's been covered.

Temp & Humidity: Acurite Digital Hygrometer & Indoor Thermometer
It's up to you, but this may be overkill, depending on model. I've been using one of these and it works fine.

Calcium & Multi: Miner-All Calcium/Mineral Supplement Indoor with D3, Rep-Cal Herptivite Multivitamin
You'll also be wanting calcium powder without D3 (they can get too much)

Some other things to consider:
Infra-red temperature gun
Solarmeter 6.5 or 6.5R (exactly the same except for the picture of the lizard)

In addition to the T5 UVB, you may need some type of plant light(s). This could be another T5 or LED.

Thank you so much! This is very helpful

let us know if youre having trouble finding him because theres people on these forums that will probably have some and other breeders/shops. We'll tell you if you can trust them

Does anybody know a breeder active on this forum located or ships to pennsylvania? I'm in uk lol so wouldnt be much help.

I’m in Eastern PA and I’d prefer to pick him up from a breeder so he doesn’t have to go through the stress of travel. I‘ve been researching this list: https://www.breedir.org/chameleons. But I’d also be open to shipping from a reputable breeder if that is a better option!
Probably some overlap, but there's also MorphMarket

I know a reputable Beardie breeder in that area, but they don't do chameleons. :(
