First cham

I picked up my little girl late last week and she seems to be settling in okay. She's eating, drinking and active.

While I did my research before getting her, it appears the more I read the more questions I have. Thank the deity of you choice for the search function.

I was told by the store she is five to six weeks old, but they don't know her hatch date.

She climbs onto my finger quite readily, so I brought her out tonight for her first photo shoot.

She is only slightly larger than my two week old cresties, so I was surprised to see yellow lines appearing on her already. :)

She is just adorable! Your pictures are also very good. It will be fun watching her grow. We are here if you have any questions as you raise her.

Shes Beautiful!!!! Nice job on the Pics!!!!
Cant wait to get a new camera so I can start taking some pics of my growing boy!!!

Thanks! She's a doll :)

I've had good luck with my photos, the pics in my first posts are shot with either a Pentax K20 dslr or a $65 Panasonic Lumix point and shoot. It's difficult to tell the difference. I've found the camera is only a small part of it. Lighting is key. Even the most expensive camera is going to have difficulty capturing the image without proper light.

For me, shooting the pets is half the fun of keeping them.

She's a cutie, that's for sure! She does seem to be 5-6 weeks old, so the store was right on about that. Since chams hatch out over a span of days and since more than likely the store didn't breed them, that's a couple of good reasons why they don't have a specific date. I have 12 animals and don't have a single confirmed birthdate for any one of them, so I just pick a favorite number in the week of the month that seems closest! Best of luck with her and don't forget to share all those pics that you're planning on shooting! :D

Well I must say that if you aren't a photographer professionally, you should definitely consider it. Your pictures are amazing.

And she's too adorable for words. :D

I agree with the others on your photography. You should enter the one you like best in the photo contest. She is so cute!

*blush* Thank you for the photo compliments! I shoot friends' pets at times and do enjoy it. I'll likely be doing another ""pets with Santa" shoot at a LPS. Last time we charged $5.00 for two 5x7 prints and the proceeds went to a local rescue.

I like shooting pets, love shooting bugs and flowers, the one thing I don't enjoy is trying to work with pro models. No human models for me please!

I'm itching to put a pic or two into the monthly contest. Shooting a specific subject sometimes is trickier than one would think!
