First building project!

So Trin and I have taken it upon ourselves to build Bo his new cage. We will be doing a project with cohabitation. It will obviously be male/female if successful, Bo's old cage being the female's new cage once we get her, Bo's new cage being these dimensions...72x36x60 with the actual stand it will be sitting an additional two feet above the ground. We have the wood and screening materials set aside, wood is currently drying and we are picking up a few pieces of pvc + a new mistking system being ordered. Bottom floor will be 3 32 inch pieces of wood that will be used with spaces in between. For the larger plants, a foot long beam will be placed between the two closest pieces of wood. There are supports in the top that will be PVC and will have a few golden Pothos hanging around. Now for some pictures of my wood!

Obviously the two of wood would be all the pieces being used except one of the three foot pieces and all the foot longs. The last two would just be Bo in what he is in currently.

Thanks! We are actually starting to put it together now. All we have to do at this point is build and put in the screens!

Build... put in screens... plants... buy him a female... hope she is going to accept his instinctual love...

Ooh I love building pretty much anything! I was building my own cage for Karma (my mom made me give the plans to my dad since he's the only one allowed to use the saw in our house, even though I used saws WAY more dangerous than that for three years in tech so the jokes on her HA). Anyway, I started with two frames I made which were in the design of picture frames, I then worked my way up with tall pieces of wood on each corner connecting them, I put wedges in every corner so it'd be sturdier, and the only thing I DON'T like about my cage is instead of putting the door the entire size of one side I made it about 2 feet big in the middle, luckily I have a cham that always comes to me when I put my hand in there so I have no problems. I put the screen over every side, over the wood, then put these fancy looking corner pieces I bought from Lowes over the corners, now it's like a little mansion!

Oh boy is it big! We decided to see the insides ourselves while we are putting up the screen on the front and back and realized we could BOTH fit in the enclosure, have room, AND sleep well for a night. While we wait for the cold season to go by and find some females for him, he is going to have SO MUCH room lol. Thanks!

Finished... after two stressful days of actually building... the final product is actually complete! Time for pictures of King Bo and his brand new Kingdom! By the way, if you see a pic of him and it looks like he is looking down on you? HE IS YOU PEASANT! BOW TO HIM!

I have to say... the tank was a pain to build, but the finished project is well worth a hammered thumb XD Bo appears to be overwhelmed with the amount of space he has right now... but he'll get used to it. I'm looking forwards to getting more plants and the rest of the bamboo sticks in there for fill it out! (not to mention a harem for Bo)
