So my first baby veiled chameleon hatched I donno when but it doesnt look too old and half of its body is still in the egg shell so Im wondering if I need to spray it down to make it easier for the chameleon to come out? Because it looks really dry and the sack got obsorved by the vermiculite.
So should I spary it down with warm water? and I have no clue what to do in next so can you give me some advise? also should I help the chameleon come out of the egg by using pinset?

Congrats!

Sadly, I know nothing about egg-layers. I'm sure someone will help you quickly though. If you don't hear soon, go into the most recently posted threads, find a senior member, and private message them. They might be online still. I'm sure that little guy wants the answer to come quickly too!!

Good luck!

Give it some more time, sometimes it can take a little while for them to completely come out. Are its eyes ever open?

Ok, no the eyes are closed and its trying to open it I think but the vermiculite is blocking the sight so I think he decided to keep it closed

They sit and absorb the rest of the egg for nutrition. It happens when the egg pips a little early. He will be fine, just let him do his thing. If you remove him, his yolk will dry out. Therefore, not getting all the nutrients he needs. For these, I leave in the tupperware for 24 hours before putting in cage or bin.
