i had an open space in my house and then this beautiful terrarium went on sale for 50 bucks, so the idea i had been playing with about getting pygmies might finally be coming to fruition. Here is my Zoomed naturalistic terrarium 18x18x24!

So the layers are hydroballs, mesh, organic soil mix, eco earth....plants are pothos, dracaena, peperomia, and ivy an some terrarium moss....sticks and leaves washed and cooked...the lighting is a used 5.0 reptisun....ambient temp is 76F...gets to a low of at most 65 at night, near the top it is 79-80 F max...humidity is never below 65% and it gets higher at night and after misting the enclosure usually 80s or 90s...i have been spraying lightly in the morning and a heavier around 2.

Looks really nice! I would add lots more little twigs and sticks to make lots of highways in addition to the bigger branches you have that may be hard for them to grip. Mine love all the tiny twigs and tend to stay on them versus all the plants in their 'forest'. All the live plants you have are good, they will like that! The more tiny highways they have for use the more they will crawl around where you can see them! and your temps and humidity levels sound perfect.

thanks for the advice! i have since sticked it up hardcore in there and i can't imagine a spot they couldn't climb to on their new wood 'highways'! It is looking even better now!

Depending on the species, temps getting close to 80 may kill them. It's best to try and keep it below 75 so you don't cause any heat stress.

just want to update my that everyone is eating and pooping happily, i added a springtail culture, not the tropical ones, i just dumped it in. I haven't really seen any but they were SMALL. I have caught the male mounting both the females and one looks like it my be gravid, i base this only on that she is much larger and rounder than the other female....is there certain gravid coloration? also my temps are at a steady range of 73 low to 77 high for the day, i moved the tank to its proper location so the temps dropped, when i had it in my room the temps reached 79 during the hottest part of the day near the top and like it was noted i know that is too high! How long after copulation will a female typically lay?
