Finally some good news

So, after my last two "serious bummer" threads, it's high time I posted something upbeat... This morning I received deBary, a 15 month old Sambava holdback from Kilgour's Chameleons. My photo is grainy, because I didn't want to shoot off a flash at him, but give you some idea; a much better picture can be seen on the Kilgour's Chameleons sires page, as Mr. Flame. He's still trying to make sense of the past 24 hours or so of his life, but readily accepted two superworms and has been exploring the newly-revamped Chameleon Condo (also pictured). I hope to get better pix this weekend.

Oh Heather, that is indeed good news. he looks very nice. I like your free range. I may work part of that into Mr Bills free range. That watt light bulb do you have in the top flower pot? Is that his heat light? I really think that is a nice safe way to go. Congrats on your new guy.

:D Heather I am so pleased for you! You've had such a rough time losing two chams so close. I know from experience that the house isn't the same without a chameleon as part of the family! I hope he settles in well - looks like he has a great free range to live in! Can't wait to see more pics of him soon!:D

Laurie, there's a 100 watt UV-B mercury vapor caged at the top of the Condo, surrounded by a tube that serves as water reservoir/drip system. The mercury vapors provide both UV-B and heat and, except for pygmeleons, they're all I've ever used.
