I purchased my Blue Bar Ambilobe at the Pomona Reptile Super Show.
He is four months and three weeks old. He doesn’t like taking pictures.
He is in a 16 x 16 x 29 screen enclosure.
I used a dwarf schefflera with 2 baby vines.
I cleaned the plant with soap and changed the soil to an all organic soil. I put river rock on the bottom of the pot for better drainage. I used fiberglass screen to cover the soil to prevent possible ingestion. I have a 1 gallon dripper on top and drips on top of a leaf. I have an 18” reptisun 5.0 bulb and an 18” plant & aquarium bulb. (My plant is dying) I need to change to a 6500k bulb to promote growth. The bulb I have promotes flowering. (In the 9k color spectrum) I might use the 9k bulb if I get a hibiscus to make it flower. Just another noob mistake. The heat is coming from a 60 watt clear bulb in a deep dome fixture. The reptisun fixture is 6 inch away. His basking spot is around 87 degrees. He was dark in the beginning but know that he feel comfortable he is showing some color.
Close up but I need a better camera
And last one of him patrolling his kingdom lol
I still need to name him.
I want to thank Ryan Jarosek, robmd1 (for saving me some money), SBCK members, Chameleon Forum and especially Dave Weldon for all the help.
