I finally got the little guy home! He's supposedly a male nosy be panther chameleon. But he has a bit of red in him.
Onto his behavior:
Once he went in his new home, he climbed straight to the top of the cage. He's been making some laps around the top of the enclosure.
I got worried about him staying so close to my basking light. He would hang directly under the light where it's sitting on top of the mesh. So i moved it about 8 inches away from the mesh top so he wouldn't get burned.
Now, for the past 10 minutes he's been hanging upside down under the basking light. It's about 80º where he's at, but i don't want him to get used to hanging there to bask.
Should i move the basking light back to the top of the mesh? or leave it elevated?
The Mist King just kicked on and he's on the run now. He eventually went in front of the mister and is hanging upside down directly under my reptisun 5.0 uvb bulb.
Now he's eye balling the enclosure upside down, almost attempting to grab a vine. But he's still directly under the 5.0 uvb light.
Heres some pics and a vid of him w/ cage set up, didn't really want to bother him.
Let me know what you guys think!
