Although he is perched between me and the bowl so it is going to be difficult to fill...

I remember hearing (Reading) that semi-clear feed bowls can confuse the chameleons.

If he's sees the feeders he may try shoot them through the sides of the dish, and get frustrated.

But very cute, mine only eats worms out of his feed dish - even when I leave a couple crickets in there! He'll climb over it and around it to get where he wants to though.

Well I had to encourage him to move so I could fill the bowl. When he came back he was attempting to get them through the side. Guess I am eating a bowl of cool whip for breakfast...

You could always just cover the cup in something until you have a different dish you can use!
