Females and laying eggs

I am new to owning chameleons and everything I am reading says that even if the female is not pregnant it lays eggs? I am very confused on what to do during this time. When purchased, we were told that she was 3-4 months. She has been scratching the tank to get out a lot, which I read is a sign that she could be pregnant. Please help me and figure out what I am suppose to do whether she is pregnant or not.

Welcome to the chameleon forums. I'm guessing that you have a panther or veiled? I have a blog about the female egg laying and laying bin for panthers and veileds that I'm attaching for you below. I'm also attaching a link to my blog for general care. It has a section and a link for the care of a female.
