Female VeiledChameleon Mood Swings?

Hiya,
I have a female veiled chameleon i believe she is coming up to two years old (the previous owner didn't know exactly).
when I first got her she would let me hold her, however after about 2 months she turned very aggressive. over time i would try to get her used to my hand. Then about a month ago she stopped being aggressive and let me hold and stroke her, and she seemed very comfortable to be sat on my arm or shoulder. However a couple weeks ago she suddenly be become very aggressive whenever i put my hand in her cage, not even near her or on the side on the cage she is on. i had put some new leaves in her viv recently.
I was just wondering if this is a hormonal thing, i have never mated her and i dont believe her last owner mated her. If anyone could give me any idea of why she does this and if their is anyway to calm her down. it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Sometimes they react to clothing colors. It could be affected by the time of day, body temp (cooler body temp means less reactive), whether something has changed in her territory (so she is feeling a bit threatened at that moment), if she can see something else close by when you are trying to handle her, if she's been disturbed by something else right around the time you try handling her, hard to say. I wouldn't say chams have the same level of hormonal mood swings as mammals do, or as frequently. Whether she's been bred or not, she may produce eggs, so while she's gravid it could affect her mood.

Do you know that they can lay eggs even if they weren't mated?
If she doesn't have a proper place to dig in her cage she could die eggbound.
She may be "loving" you and "hating" you when she is going through her cycle....and you may have been lucky so far that she hasnt actually produced eggs.

Thanks for this advise! :)

she does have a container with reptile soil in it, she has never layed eggs yet, however i think i will make it deeper so she can dig more incase she is eggbound
