Hi,
My female veiled lately eats about everything nothing has a chance to hide. She's about 9 months to a year old I think Idk. She's very fat you can notice in the neck and belly area but still can see ribs. Bloated looking pretty much and a lot of lumps about everything. Very lazy also don't get active til I open cage.

Could you post a picture of her? Does she have a laying bin in with her yet?

Yep I have a bin about 6 inch deep and 8 inch long and width is 4 inches. I filled it up with calicium sand or white grow in the dark sand I found at pet store. She's not showing any signs mainly on screen or branches. Never. Ear the bottom?

Her laying bin should be more like 12" deep, and at least 7-8" wide and long. The sand or soil you use should be moist, enough where you can dig a tunnel and it will hold the shape but not wet. She will not be able to lay in dry sand.

I don't think she will be inspired to lay in something she doesn't perceive as natural, safe material to lay her eggs in. You may want to just get a bag of washed play sand from home depot or lowe's for $3 for a 50lb bag. Or organic soil without fertilizers or perlite.

I agree with Olimpia. The lady veileds that I've had required a fairly big laying bin. I have a blog for egg laying and the laying bin that you might find helpful below and I'm also attaching a laying bin video by Dez.

Do what they said...and start a tunnel for her. You need to test the sand anyway, so leave the successful test tunnel there for her to see. She might just think "cool! I don't have to dig!" and use it.

I try this and see if it will work. Today she went down and used her tougue to grab some with standing water on top of the sand. Can she get impacted if any sticked to her tougue. She's very bloated looking and near her back legs belly area has lumps on both sides. She's been having everyday normal bowels so that's not it and pure white urates.

It definitely sounds like she's ready to lay eggs any day now, then. Make sure you have everything set up for her and then maybe cover her cage with a sheet, if it's in an area with traffic. With some privacy she may also feel more comfortable to lay.

She's in a traffic area yea where like my dogs pass bye the cage. Could she be impacted from eating sand because I don't know how much she does the tougue to the sand for water I would say or just eating it idk. I feed her 3/4 inch Dubia roaches daily only six and sometimes I add one superworm to change up her diet. Is that good enough for a female veiled because she eats them when I stick them to the screen they climb it lol. There a lot better then crickets and the crickets I get for my panthers are very small the veiled is the biggest. I heard my female ambilobe 6 months will say at a inch and a half nose to vent and four inches nose to vent for my male ambilobe and his age is unknown to me but was two inch nose to vent when fl chams shipped her.
But for my veiled I think she's just a fatty because when she fell asleep tonite I felt her belly and nothing felt like eggs just fat. I housed a female veiled for 11 years and never layed eggs and that's just the time I had her but was a baby so almost 12 years old she died. Was laying at the bottom and barely moving legs just a little. Heartbreaking with the leg barely moving and mouth moving a little and tougue hanging out just the tip of it. Was very pale dull like she was shedding just laying there. I new she was leaving me because she always stayed at the top mainly under UVB lighting. But I new her time was up just laying there I sat with her for a while with the gate open rubbing her side. But I had to get up when the pizza dude came and had a soda and piece of pizza. Came back and she was gone doing nothing. I don't know how it works with reptiles when they pass but I never said goodbye only talked about the passed that we faced good times didn't mention the bad. Was my first Cham and try now with my baby's all under a year old to do better for them. Because I never had good info just the pet store advice and Internet since 2007. So you can see my mission for them is the best I can provide and make them feel like they were in the wild. That's my saying for them feel like home or die tryin. There my dinosaurs to me look like that even if they ain't but also can't prove they ain't.

The reason the board recommends washed play sand is that it's been shown to pass through well, so I don't think she could become impacted from it.

Can you post some pictures of her? Maybe the experts can give you some insight.

I do not think a 6 month old female panther should measure an inch and a half nose to vent.

I am confused what do you mean "used her tongue to grab some standing water on top of the sand"??? There shouldn't be that much water in the sand that she can drink from the top of it. The sand should be wet enough to make a clump in your hand that doesn't collapse. Could you tell us a lot of information on your keeping and post pictures so we can see more into what is going on with your care so we can better help you?

The sand drys fast and gets compacted so when I mist drops from leaves fall on top of sand laying bin. So it's pretty dry the sand with standing water on top. I soak the crap out of there cages and drys fast and basking is low temp.

I use a big wooden spoon and wet and stir the sand every few days. I pat it down and take a teaspoon and dig a slanted hole to the bottom to make sure it will hold a tunnel and not cave in on the female. I leave the hole that I make and often the females will use my hole.

Sounds good and thanks I never thought of the tunnel caveing in on her and being buried alive. I need to rethink my husbandry and caging so if anyone can help let me know. I can text message photos or email but can't use my iPhone to post on here. I get home to late for library closed. I like a expert to see my setups for my three chams. My problem is I spent over a thousand bucks for the three chams and moneys slow now not making much like I was. So it's hard to make any improvements. It's the time of the year for me. Like I need a reptisun 5.0 24" bulb but can't afford it. It's just the fixture I got for a 18" long cage. I hate it being layed off but will come around.
