Female Veiled ready?

My female is at least 8 months old and she has been looking at my male a lot lately. They both have changed colors and seem to be ready to mate. They are housed in separate nice enclosures with lots of room to hide. She weighs 84 grams and is a power eater. She has also been spending some time on the floor of her enclosure which she has never done before, normally she will stare at the male from the floor. I feed them a combo of gut loaded hand raised crickets, dubia roaches and meal worms all that I breed myself. I really want to breed my veiled chameleons and I think we are ready. Can any one give me advice on if this is the correct time of year, they are the right size, and anything else. I do know a little about them and she has had a laying bin in her enclosure since the day I got her. He is over 2 years old.

Welcome to the forums. This is a great place to learn about chameleons. A female should be over one years old and a good weight before breeding. 84 grams is a small female veiled. My adults have all weighed between 110 and 120 grams. They should not be allowed to see each other. Just the sight of a male could cause her to start forming an infertile clutch. Do you have a laying bin for her? Please post a picture of her. Hanging out at the bottom is a sign that they are looking for a spot to lay.
