Female veiled digging for almost two days!

My 1 1/2 female veiled started digging about a day a ago! She's at the roots of the plant now and digging around them. How long does it take for them to lay eggs ? and should I be concerned that she's started digging yesterday and still hasn't had them yet? Help! TIA!

They can take several days to dig the hole to their satisfaction. Don't let her see you watching her while she is digging. It can make her stop and if it happens too often it can lead to eggbinding.

Once she is happy with the hole she will turn around bum down and lay the eggs....likely in the evening. She can take a while for this too and may even sleep in the hole overnight. She should fill in the hole after she lays then and tamp it down and return to the branches hungry and thirsty.

If things do not go this way...If she becomes lethargic, sits low in the cage or does anything else that is unusual please post about it ASAP.

No hasnt been mated. I guess she's just ready to lay eggs. Do I just toss them? If so how long after she lays them?

So she had them today! 38 eggs!
Assuming I got them all! She def looks a bit skinny made sure to give her star good and water. Anything else I should do to make sure she's ok?
