Chami laid 26 eggs (they look like jellybeans)!
On Monday afternoon, I caught her (she’s been doing it for the past 2 days) at the bottom of the enclosure digging digging, I thought nothing of it at that time. Just Chami doing Chami, I thought she had a week or two left before egg laying and then I got home to a lovely sight after going to check on my meleons. Eggies!!!!! (they look like jellybeans). She did not use her egg laying box but the used soil next to the box (Box was hyper wet so I see why she didn’t use it) and quickly left her alone as the eggs were exposed so I assumed she wasn’t done… I got up this morning and checked on both of them, he was fine as usual. I then checked on her(gave them water, gave her heavily dusted food (not him due to him eating yesterday) hand fed her 3/4 of her favorite foods: super worms). I noticed her tongue was very slow/weak so noted that down, she could barely extend her tongue an inch or two past her face. So I hand fed her. She only wanted 2 so I left the other 2 in her cup. She ate one more of them. So 3/4. She’s in her sleeping spot, just gave them water and nervously dug out her eggs. She had one more clutch in her old enclosure, but I never found them eggs. I knew she laid them by her size one day. I’m rambling . Is 26 eggs ok? I read online normal clutches are 30-60, but google said 26 is good and normal. Let me know what’s up!
