Put a real one in ... but if she continues to try and sample the foliage, you need to take it out. It's dangerous if she swallows a peice. Impaction might occur.

There could be a reason for this sudden interst in the fake plants. Are you running a dripper? How many times a day do you mist her? Is she dehydrated? Sometimes they will try to get moisture from eating plant material.

I think Texas is right, when a panther is eating plants, it usually means something about their food, water, humidity or vitamins.

So you should review everything stated above and ajust them properly.

And yes, add some live plants. It's better for humidity, for eating and it's much more beautiful.

i mist her every 2 hours for a minute and a half, her urate is white everytime. no im running a dripper, she drinks during and after mistings

im going plant shopping today, ill get one for her.

A dripper would be a good addition too. If you do not wish to purchase one, you can make one with any bottle made of plastic, you use a needle and make a hole on the bottom of it! :)

I'd add that even if obviously your setup isn't perfect, you are paying attention to your chameleon and you are willing to improve. So it's a pretty good start! Keep going! :)

.....and yes i do care about my chameleons, thank you.

I know you care bro. Just trying to help out. I was just thinking and it could also be color. Some chams dont like bright colors. She could be seeing it as a threat. Just another option to think about if the fake plant has fake blooms on it. Other than that just go over your husbandry and take out the offending fakey. good luck..
Oh yeah, my panther loves his schefflerra so if you can find one they are great additions to an enclosure. Lots of good sized limbs to climb on and they are safe.

Make sure you wash the plant before you use it...both sides of the leaves. I would also run a lot of water through the soil too...and cover it (soil) with stones that are too big for the chameleon to ingest.
