Hey all,

I noticed this a couple days ago while I was watching my Chameleons eat and my Female Jackson has a swollen hand! I have no idea what happened. What could have caused this? It looks inflamed, swolen, infected. I really don't know. I don't see any cuts or abrasions so I'm really left clueless right now. Is there anyway I can cure this?

Here are some pictures for visual aid.

Looks like your chameleon lost a nail or two and an infection has set in. It will need to be cleaned out by a vet and a culture and sensitivity test taken to determine what antibiotic the chameleon needs to be put on.

I agree! Toenail abscesses and resulting infections are nasty and need to be taken care of quickly

She may have got her toenail caught in the screen. Have you seen her crawling on the screen? If so you may need to put more things for her to crawl on or put her in a cage the bigger screen material.

Looks like a trip to the Vet is in order.
