What does it mean if I find my chameleon at the bottom of the tank, this is the first time. Do they sometimes fall if the miss the plant they are trying to grab.?? :( plz help

They sometimes do fall, yes.

Was your chameleon dark in color, or weak? Curled up?

Did you make sure everything was okay afterward (held him/her & checked for any injuries)?

How tall is the cage?

Sometimes my veiled will just crawl around on the bottom for no reason (looking for a female maybe).

Mine did this and hurt his back. Unfortunately it was the beginning of the end for him. He could not walk properly after this and kept grabbing his front legs with his back legs. After reading many posts I have learned this can be a sign of MBD. So despite going to the vet 3 or 4 times in the span of a few weeks he did not survive. I don't know exactly what order things happened. Did fall from having MBD as he had never fallen before, or did he behave this way due to injuries or some combination of both. He also had gular edema. I found that I was not using the proper supplementation schedule too. Keep a close eye and take him to a knowledgable vet if he continues to have problems.

I think he actually climbs down to the bottom and the goes back up right after.. I don't know if that normal and he was just looking for food or something. He doesn't stay down at the bottom though

Your fine, just being curious. If he stays at the bottom, or acts unusual, that is when you want to start looking closer. He is just a nosey Veiled!!!

Mine wanders all over. He could be cooling down, looking for food.looking for a place to poop.
