Feet Locking Up

I have an adult male veiled. Lately when I spray in the cage his feet lock up if the water hits him. What could this be from?

The water is room temp and he is able to move his legs but not open his feet so that he can grip the branches. It has only ever been one foot at a time and it looks like a cramp. It will loosen up within maybe 30-45 seconds and then he is fine.

If the water is room temperature it might be too cold for him?
I notice that my panther doesn't mind me spraying on him if the water is warm ish!:)

You said lately, which means it is something new. Since you have always been misting them. Spraying the same way you always do, it does not make sense that the water would all of a sudden make their feet/leg lock. That should have happened from the beginning when your Cham was Younger and less tolerant. I also do not understand how water spray could cause that reaction unless something else was wrong.

Please fill out the form I posted in my last post so the whole picture can be seen and not hit or miss posts. Mine is post 7 and you have no answers yet.... Thanks !

Oh, do you mean he's doing the karate hand? That's totally normal! Does it look anything like the photo below?

They will do the karate hand when they feel threatened or unsure, so it may be surprising him to get sprayed and he lifts up a hand as a defense position.
