What are some ways to feed my chameleon beside's letting the crickets roam, she doesn't go after them much anymore and she's been getting thin.

You can feed her with tongs if you have the time. There are also lots of options when it comes to "cup" feeding. You can put the crickets in a dish in the bottom of the cage. You can put them in a cup which you hold in your hand and hold up to her to eat out of. You can attach a feeder cup to the side of the cage beneath a branch or perch so she can look down into the cup and use her tongue to catch her breakfast. You can also bait the feeders so they stay put in one area of the cage. Here is a picture of how I have fed young chameleons. I also like using a baby carrot as bait as it lasts longer than a piece of fruit and shrivels up rather than rots.

I usually use tongs when feeding my cham.
Try feeding other things besides crickets to vary the diet and keep the cham from getting bored of one feeder. Sometimes they will go nuts over something new

Husbandry issues and parasite infection are common reasons for a cham to go off their food. Posting a clear picture of your chameleon, and of their enclosure, can help too.

I put my girl's crickets in a plastic container near the bottom of her enclosure each morning before I leave for work. I'm gone for at least 12 hours, and I've been tempted to put some food in there for them to keep them hydrated and gut loaded, and to cut down on attrition, but I haven't yet. Would a piece of fruit or sweet potato pose any problems for my cham?
