Feeding techniques for newborns

My little ambanja is doing really well and drinking great but I am having a hell of a time getting him to eat. Mostly because the fruit flies and the pinheads are not wandering up high enough for the little one to see them. What are some techniques that some of you use to make sure that your neonates get their food?

Hello! I know you just had a hatchling, is this it? If so dont be worried. I remember my first hatchlings and how confused I was they werent eating. Chuck G told me to calm down and they would start. Well, they did:) on the third day. My tavetanas actually took a little longer. They would pick off a FF or 2 then nothing, now they are starting to destroy them:D Just keep it well hydrated and he will eventually start to eat.

You said the FFs arent getting high enough in the container (yeah that sounds real good) How the heck do you keep them lower. My panthers wouldnt eat the FFs and I could never really keep them in the bins. Now I use deli cups for the tavs and when I dump the FFs in I snap the lid on and let them eat. Much easier for me!

Thanks for the insight Cain. Yeah I just want all that hatch to survive. I am hoping that the others begin to hatch soon as well. This guys egg was pretty small compared to its siblings so maybe it is a good thing that it hatched early so it can gain some size.
