Feeding pieces of crickets to baby chameleon

Getting my new veiled chameleon this weekend. He's probably gonna be really young, still not big enough to eat adult crickets.
So I was thinking, instead of buying baby crickets online... is it okay for me to chop an adult cricket into 2 or 3 pieces and feed it to him?
Same thing for worms-- is it okay?

Not really.

one- it would take you forever.
two - he probably wont hand feed
three- he probably wont even recognize its food, as the bugs need to move.
four- just buy pinhead crickets.

Pretty much the only way to get him to eat them is force feeding. So basically no.

Where do most people get pinhead crickets from?
