Feeding hornworms

I want to start breeding hornworms but the thought of ordering qll that hornworm chow constantly sounds expensive and not worth it.. do you need to use hornworm chow in order to keep them alive and healthy or is there a simple recipe you can make? I breed dubia currently and its going great but theyre obviously much more simple.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use tomato leaves -- they are toxic to chameleons. I think tobacco leaves may be aright... but please look into that further.

Yeah im aware i was just thinking like what i feed my crickets and dubia; carrots, collard greens, bell peppers, etc.
