Feeders and the Heat

It's nearing time when I have to order my feeders. I'm hesitating because the temperatures are in the 100's here.
I can be home to receive any shipments-that's not the problem. I'm just worried I'll end up with dead feeders since delivery trucks aren't air conditioned.
Anyone else have this problem? Any helpful suggestions? I don't want to be buying feeders from pet stores as it's too expensive and I need a lot.
Thanks in advance.

I just placed an order from LLL for 500 crickets. I think they'll be fine with overnight shipping. Beats the hell out of the petstore.

I live in the Phoenix area(VERY hot!!) and I just received a bunch of silkworms and hornworms last week. I used PRIORITY overnight shipping and everything was fine, as they were delivered before 10:00 AM .......before the day REALLY heats up!! They did not have a cold pack in the box, but if the place you order from offers this, it would probably be a good idea as well.
