The philippinicum leaf insect is one of the easiest of the leaf insects to raise. Similar to the Australian ET stick insect, it is slow moving, and easy to handle. The females grow to about 4-inches long, and are quite bulky. I feed them mostly on wild blackberry leaves.

Diapherodes gigantea
D. gigantea is a great stick insect to culture, for many reasons. gigantea is a beautiful bright lime green, with the body being very heavy, the females measuring up to 5 inches long. They are a great choice for children as they are slow moving. The males can fly, and ova take about 4 months to hatch. D. gigantea is a sexual species; it takes males for fertilization. A common name for D. gigantea is the “Green Bean” stick insect. D. gigantea comes from the Caribbean Islands, and is assigned the PSG number of 260.

Vietnamese Stick Insect (ramulus artemis)
The Vietnamese Stick Insect has a 6” body length and up to 8” in the resting position with front legs extended. All the sticks in the USA are female and parthenogenic. They have a very high reproduction and hatch rate. They can be fed blackberry, oak, rose, raspberry, hazel, and ivy leaves.

Sipyloidea sipylus, Madagascan Pink Wing Stick Insect
The Pink Wing is native to Madagascar, and is similar to the Indian stick insect in size and color. The differences are that the Pink Wing can fly as an adult, the nymphs are bright green, and are quicker moving. They feed on blackberry leaves and can be housed with Indian stick insects.

Chinese Mantis Ooth Cup
I stock the Chinese Mantis ooth (egg case) which is harvested in December/January in the US. The ooths are kept refrigerated, and they can be purchased through August with descent hatch rates. Each ooth will produce about 250 nymphs, and is a great feeder for baby chameleons. When you buy the Mantis hatching cup, the ooth will come glued to the bottom of the lid, all you do for hatching is to place the cup in 75 to 80-degree heat. If you buy loose ooths, glue the branch side to the hanging surface, this will put the “zipper” down for the nymphs to hatch properly. Care sheet available.

3. If we are out of stock on an item, we will email you for a replacement item.
4. USPS Priority mail is the shipping carrier we use, email notification for tracking will come from USPS.
5. Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG) is provided only when you request USPS Express 2-day Mail. By requesting LAG, your order will automatically receive a $39.00 Express Mail charge instead of the Priority Mail charge. If your Express Mail charge is greater than $39.00, we will invoice you for the amount above $39 to be paid before we ship your order. If your order takes 2 boxes, we will invoice you for the additional $35 to be paid before we ship your order.
LAG does not apply if the temperatures at your address are below 40 degrees or above 85 degrees. LAG does not apply to delays in shipping due to weather or factors that the shipper cannot control.
LAG applies to the cost of the insects, not the shipping costs.
6. Once we receive your order request, we will send your shipping costs. Our shipping costs will include whatever is needed for the temperatures; heat packs, cold packs, insulated boxes, and the USPS shipping costs. If the order fits in a 12x12x12 box, shipping rarely exceeds $25.
