I want to abandon using crickets. Would Dubai roaches / silkworms / superworms enough of a variety?

Dubai roaches are widely used as a common staple here on the forums. Unfortunately they're illegal in Canada so I've yet to use them. I'd say as long as Dubai are your main staple, then offer a variety of different worms as well and that should be good!

Can I feed my Dubias cricket crack for feed? Also how long do the roaches last? As long as superworms? Also how long do silk worms last? I've had waxworms and they die after 6-7 days.

Also does moving all my chameleons food into dishes affect his behavior with not hunting anymore?

i think the best 'gutloader' are actually the fruits. my opinion is that none of the things that they sell can't compare with the actual vitamins that they get from fruits/vegetables.
so
1. yes, dubias are the best (yes, better than crickets) main feed!
2. you should gut load them with fruits/veggies
3. they are roaches, you should know that some roaches can handle even a nuclear bomb, so yea ... i would say they last longer than your worms ^^
4. you can put your insects in a cup, but i think the best way is to let them free in the cage, so she/he can hunt for them.

I cannot help you with information on silkworms...
Dubia can live over a year depending on what sex they are. You can feed them cricket crack. You still have to give them fruits and vegetables. Make sure you do not feed them vegetables high in phosphorous such as spinach and soy.

P.S - The waxworms may not be dead. They make a cocoon and turn into moths which you can also feed.

okay but not optimal. You want to have a wide variety - as many options as possible.

Maybe use those three as your basics, and add others things (including crickets now and then if you can) in once a week or a couple times a month.

no. but occassionally free-ranging so he can hunt more actively from time to time might be nice for the chameleon. its not like silkworms and superworms need to be contained

depends how old (big) they are. they eventually do spin a cocoon and turn into moths (which you can also feed off)

Thanks for the advice. I read somewhere that silkworms last up to a week in the fridge. I'm going to put them in the fridge to slow their growth.
