fedex SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you look back at the original story in this thread, the person who got the shipment by Fed Ex then attempted to return the animal by Fed Ex.

There is no way that person has the certification Fed Ex requires for breeders to ship to retailers. However, because that's how he got his chameleon, that's how he attempted to return it.

You can say it's the same, but this story proves it is not. Had the animal been shipped by UPS, properly labeled as a live, non-harmful reptile, it would most likely have been returned the same way and, hopefully, would have made it back to the breeder.

You are correct about the return. It was handled poorly. The original shipper should have provided a return label on their account. Then it may have been a better result. If they are required to return via FedEx its OK for me to print a label and send it to the person sending it back to me.

You have some good points but some of the information is a little off. For some dumb reason I was being a little defensive. :D I am not a huge fan of either shipper but actually use both and have not had problems with either.

Its a gray area with both companies when it comes to shipping animals. Reading back it appears I am fighting for FedEx. That is not my intention. I just like people to be informed about both companies. I do sound a little like a cheerleader :D

Is this posting from last year out of date?

I think they were never charged $10. That was only a pre-authorization when they vailidated the card she used for setting up the account. I am willing to bet that money was only pending on the account and was never withdrawn.

If they were charged $10, that is no longer the case. I was not charged a penny.

Okay, thanks for checking that. I based my comment on that. I was unable to find out anything from Fed Ex's site.

I too would like to know if the package with the chameleon was ever found.
