mwahahahaha!
i love when fall comes around because my sister is deathly afraid of stinkbugs. its absurd. i capture them and chase her
spiders im fine with. my one major problem is thousand leggers
http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/house-centipedes
i used to piss myself (not literally) and regress into a feral rage of screaming and destruction, until said arthropod was nothing but a violet smudge on the wall (yes their guts are purple)
some people react to fear by fleeing, apparently i
hulk SMASH when im terrified.
what i hate is when you can see them turn their tiny little heads tup to look at you. they look at your face. it freaks me out, and the way they float across any surface with their undulating waves of malintent (apparently thats not a word and ive been using it for years....malignant intent)
we had a population explosion this last winter because my tokay that used to free range the whole house finally died. so i was killing a lot, and then one time one just looked at me before subsequent smashing and i froze. i couldnt kill it.
so then i looked em up, apparently they watch over their young and stuff, theyre pretty cool actually and cant survive the winters here in PA.
so for me it was just a matter of the unfamiliar and being plain ignorant. though i did know they were insectivores.
hence why i captured one and a wolf spider recently and chucked em into the same tank for an epic death match. we have lots of wolf spiders in the house too. but i dont mind them so much.
so i dont get scared anymore i dont rampage i just leave em be.
i would just repeat scutigera coleoptrata im my head.
i do need another tokay though.
last time i saw one my gf was freaked out and i didnt want to kill it. so i busted out a nerf gun and said if i can hit it its meant to die. he escaped into the curtains. i was damn close tho
