Hello, I just added two more Veileds to my Rep family and thought I would share. First picture is of Hiccup " named her before I new how to sex them. lol I also have had her for a few months now" Now the other two I just got. A male and female. they are just so cute and really loving. I just got them today and they are all over me. But I do have one question about the male. When I first got him he was fine, walking around with both eyes open and now he only has one eye open. He is shedding and I do believe I see some skin on the eye that is shut. Just worried about him. What do you guys think? Also how old do you think they are? I'm not sure. First pic is Hiccup, next two is the female I just got, and the last pic is the male I also just got. Sorry for the pics My phone isn't working that well.

But in the third picture the female? looks to be dehydrated, are these recent?

Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?

Congrats on the new additions! Those crickets look almost as big as the Chameleon....It may be the camera angle, good luck with them!

If you think there is something in the chameleon's eye you can use a plain saline solution (from the store) to flush the eye out with. Just use a gentle stream of water in the turret. It could be something else though, so still fill out the reply.

Be careful with those crickets. They look too big for the babies.

Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? Haven't really "Just got them"
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? Feeding crickets, I put some in the cage but doesn't looking like they are eating, don't have a schedule yet, and I feed the crickets with cricket food and water.
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? Rep-cal without D3.
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? I mist the cage for about a minute or so, and I have not seen them drink.

Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? Zoo Med, Not sure on the model? Uvb and basking light.
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? Temps for basking Is around 80-85, the floor "not sure"? The lowest over night "does not drop below 65" I have a temp gauge.
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity? 60-70, It's humid in my home, not sure how to or what to use? I have a humidity gauge as well.
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? Only in my older cham cage, But not in the younger ones YET Using fake ones for now.
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? Near the main window in my house, Not by Fans, air vent or high traffic areas.
Location - Where are you geographically located? Central U.S.A "Machesney Park, IL"

How often do you mist? Do you have calcium without d3, calcium with d3, and a multivitamin to use? If using repcal, use the calcium without d3 almost every feeding, calcium with d3 twice a month, and multivitamin once or twice a month.

You need to gutload better with fresh fruits and veggies like collar greens, mustard greens, dandelion greens, endive, escarole, kale, squash, carrots, yams, sweet potatoes, sweet peppers, berries, apples, papaya, orange, etc.

You need to separate the females. The larger one looks too big to be housed with the new baby female.

holy crap those crickets are huge lol. if it doesnt look like there eating thats y. downsize on the crickets. they should have crickets that IMO should only be just over 1/4 inch for the little guys. the 1inch ones you have in there look almost as big as the cham

I bout big crickets and little ones. The big ones are for my older cham but I put both size crickets together not thinking about it. I'm going to split them up in a little bit. Also I didn't put any of the chams together they are in different cages. But I was wondering if I could put the babies together? I'm going to post a few more pics of them so you can see their size and see if you could tell me if they look healthy. Male is the first two, and female is the last three.

You could house them together, but it wouldn't be for very long as right now is about the time when you want to separate them. I would just keep them in their own cages.
