False araila, former (scheffelera elegantissima) plant for panther viv safe?

According to the ASPCA, non toxic to cats/dogs. I'm not getting anything dangerous after a cursory search, and have considered using them before. Good foliage cover, though they lack in good horizontal branches. Not bad for vertical, though!

Gee, I'm hoping they are OK for panthers. I've had this guy in with some for years

They grow fast, the kinks in these pics are at the 4 foot level where the hit the top of the cage, so they became "houseplants".

Thanks, I like it too!! Glad it's safe!!, I couldn't pass it up, vertical branches are very good, gonna have to zip tie horizontal sticks through it, no problem

Ya that's a tough way to go about it though. Lots of plants, are toxic to cats and dogs, and not reptiles. Even alot that are frequently recommend around here like Pothos.

Yeah, I know. Which is why I look up the reason behind the toxicity, and disregard anything that says "oxalate crystals", which don't appear to bother chams. I'm paying attention to actual toxic compounds, and skin irritants more than anything, and snoop around for mentions of possible reptile side effects on other sites

The easier way, would be to use Bird Data, they share alot more in common with Herps than Cats and Dogs do. Alot of our safe plant lists, were ripped from Bird guides and then vetted again with reptiles to be sure.

I like to make things complicated, what can I say?

That makes a lot of sense, though. You'd think I'd have thought of that, owning 3 birds of my own lol! I'm never worried when Monty chews on some house plant or another, so that just gives me even more reason to put whatever the heck I like in my enclosures (within reason).
