I just got a male veiled chameleon, he was supposed to be sub-adult but looks very tiny to me, no longer than 6 inches including his tail. I have just put him in his screen enclosure, he took off climbing up the sides of the enclosure instead of the various branches I laid out. Then he fell from about 3 feet high and landed on a flimsy branch a foot from the bottom. He did the same thing and climbed to the very top corner of the enclosure, up the mesh. I tried to put some of his collard greens at the bottom in case he falls again, to cushion him. He has settled on one of the top branches but I'm afraid he will keep falling. Should I get some fake plants for the top or add that plastic fencing some people have? I don't know what to do. (I will try to add a photo later)
