F3 Carpet pics

I thought taking some pics of my babies would be therapeutic-ha. Instead I just get annoyed trying to keep them from running from the camera, turning dark, or falling off the plant. Ahh, oh well. I always remember how much I hate taking pics of chameleons when I try to do it after taking a hiatus ;-)

Anyway, a couple pics of some baby F3 lats, and a snapshot of their mother, Volvo, who is full of red. Their great-grandmother was a WC named "Maddy" who laid a clutch from retained sperm. The clutch had terrible results, and the grandmother, Itsy, was cut from the egg & babied until she grew stronger. Her babies were fine though, and that's where mommy Volvo came in.

I'm thinking of getting out of chameleons and trying to breed a group of red-eyed tree frogs. I like to focus on one thing at a time. I had a small group of red-eyes for years before I became interested in chameleons, but remember how boring they were activity-wise. I didn't like having to wait til' dark to watch them with red lights...their life-cycle is intriguing though.

Your Carpets are, and always have been, wonderful. What's sad is to hear you might finally be dropping out of the hobby too. There's precious few of the old timers left. :(

Congrats again on the F3's; it's quite the achievement.
Cheers,
T

Thanks Trace :) I haven't decided. I'll see how the rest of these eggs pan out. I have clutches due between next month and nextOctober and most months in between. Eggs don't=hatchlings, but I'm probably bound to end up with quite a few either way. Maybe all the babies will change my mind, haha.
