Chameleon Info:
- Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
veiled chameleon, male, 5-6 months. i have had him for 5 months and he was only a couple weeks old when i got him.
- Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
very rarely. once a week, if that.
- Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
crickets, superworms, meal worms, and wax worms are the ones i rotate through. mainly superworms and crickets, wax worms as a treat and mealworms if im out of his food and have to borrow from my beardie. crickets - 12 at a time, he usually eats them all. superworms, ill feed him as much as he will eat in a 10 minute period, he usually eats about 5-6. for gutloading, I cant think of the name right now, but its like a green jelly cut into squares.
- Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
flukers calcium without d3, 3 times per week. reptivite once a week.
- Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
dripper - i see him drinking at least once a day. i hand mist 3 times a day until i see water dripping off the plants.
- Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
normally, light/dark brown with white on the tip. not runny but not firm. most recently he hasnt pooped much but finally went a couple days ago and it was runnier than usual but not super runny. still with the white.
- History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.
Cage Info:
- Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
zoo med reptibreeze mesh enclosure. 18x18x36
- Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
i do not recall the brand of the heat lamp. i have a reptisun bulb for the uvb (i know i need to get a strip light

) 8am-8pm he is also by a window so i open the curtain during the day so he can see the world.
- Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
85-90 for basking, 75-80 for lowest. i do not have a digital thermometer. lowest temp ar night would be around 70.
- Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
i had a plastic curtain around the cage to keep humidity in but the vet advised me to remove it for airflow. humidity is around 50 during the day and gets to 70 at night
- Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
fake plants and a golden pathos at the bottom.
- Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
it is in my bedroom in front of a window. low traffic area. there is a fan in the room but it is much higher than his cage. the cage is probably like 2 feet off the floor and a little taller than i am (im 5'3)
