Current Problem - My current problem is that my chameleon is sleeping during the day.

well it does not appear to be your lighting or temps. Could be a vit a deficiency. You need to gutload your crickets with more stuff. Some dark leafy greens, such as mustard greens, collard greens, kale etc. and also other furits and veggies. Get a plain calcium without d3 and use that at every feeding. The one with the d3 bi weekly and get a multivitamin also. Is your chameleon eating? lethargic? Just closing eyes? do you take him out in the sun?

Thanks for your quick reply--more questions

Yes it has been a little chili but if it is the right temperature we put him in his outside cage.

can you post some pics? Is the shed covering the eye where he would not be able to open it? Is he shedding on both eyes?

Pictures of Van Gogh

Here are pictures of him.....shedding on both sides around his eyes and some on eyelids.

There should be more water than that fogger. I have it, and it rarely makes even a few drops appear. You need to be misting a few times a day.

question, do you have the reptisun tube? I am noticing your light fixture has TWO lights. what lights are those.

the shed is not over the eyeball so I don't think that has anything to do with his eyes closing from what I can see in the pictures.

how old is he? I know you said a juvenile but that can cover a period of many months. He looks pretty good from the pics. His limbs look good and not curvy. Is the side of his mouth shedding, or is that a burn or something where it is black. Is your basking light red? If so, it should be white.

from the looks of it i think you need to get rid of that reptisun 5.0 screw in bulb and get a reptisun or reptiglo 5.0 the long tube bulb...oh yeah and the light fixture...:p...i could be wrong tho...any one else?
