eye wont close!

Hey guys I just got a 5 month old male panther chameleon yesterday. I noticed last night that when he went to sleep one of his eyes would not close. It goes all white like he is trying to close it but there is still a big hole there like he cant close the eyelids. The eye seems fine with day time movement and size but wondering what this might be. Any help is appreciated.

I would contact who ever you purchased it from and tell them the problem. More than likely the problem existed when they sold it to you. Could be an infection, could be something stuck. It is hard to say.

I agree ^^^but in the mean time I'd try a warm misting.
If its something stuck it could help
Flush it out.

YAYYYY!!! I am sooo excited right now! We fixed his eye! I was checking out his eye some more and it seemed like he couldnt see at all out of that eye because when I went to touch him on that side he doesnt move at all but when I try to touch him on the side with his good eye he shifts away from my hand so I started misting him with warm water like u suggested and I tried doing it on his face and he tried to close his eye but I could see like gunky eye boogers so my boyfriend held him and kept his head from moving while I used a q-tip wet with warm water to wipe the boogers from his eye. I was kind of scared cuz his eye was wide open but after I took the gunk out it now seems like he can see from that eye THANKS for the tips you guys I am soo relieved he is better
