What seems to be helping my cham the most is being outside.. a member named calistar suggested I do it, at first it was just a half hour and it didn't seem to help much but last weekend I spent 2 hours outside with him about mid day, it was only 70 degrees but it was sunny, and he started opening his eyes while outside, first for a minute at a time, then for 5 minutes, and now I see him walking around with his eyes open almost all the time. Never underestimate the power a little sun will do. This isn't to say to skip out on everything else you are doing, make sure you're giving all the vitamins and such, just give yours a daily trip outside for a while.. I sat in a lawn chair and streamed netflix while he sat on his plant next to me.

My suggestion is definitely a weather permitting kind of thing, but some members do keep there chams, of all species, outside, where it drops to 50 or high 40s. A little while outside in 50F won't hurt him too much, as long as there is sun so he can bask in it.
i'm not saying to do this I'm just saying there are people that keep their little ones outside and they thrive..
