Eye problems.

Hey,
This is my first post on the health clinic forum. Just a little bit worried about one of my chams. I have two males and three females. All eat and poop fine. One of my females just had 69 eggs and I think has her second clutch in the oven without a second breeding. The thing i'm worried about is that my biggest female I think is pregnant too. But for the last 2~3 days she has been having problems with her eyes. She has them closed and rubs them on the branches every so often and blows them out with air too. She has never had eye problems before but my smallest female used to have really bad problems and I would rub them out for her with wet q-tips. It took me about a month but now she's all better though she does have a small air bubble underneath one of her eyes. I don't know what caused and what cured her. This female has the same symptoms and I want to know why so I can prevent this problem. They all have the same lights and water system. I have been busy with an exhibition and didn't give them as much water as I usually do. Could that be the problem? Since I think she is pregnant I want to prevent any stress that she might get. Hope somebody can help.

An early sign of dehydration is closing and rubbing eyes. And, you said yourself that they have been getting less misting because of your schedule. The time of year, climate, and house humidity may have changed too. She may be less able to tolerate a change in hydration because she's gravid. Have someone else give them water if you can't.

my female vieled is acting the same way too i just got her 3 weeks ago and i started to noticed that her eyes were clossed while another one was open and also she kinda suck them in and i got really depress because i dont want my first chameleon to die, so i also herd it might lack of vitim A so since i havent been dusting my crickets i when out n bought her a new dripper and sum viitm A with D3 i hope yours lives for a long time, pretty sad when they do die

Thanks for the replies guys. I don't think it's the vitamins because I feed them all the same and give them vitamins and calcium enough. I'll have to try misting like I used to because it is quiet dry this season in Korea. Thanks for the tips. I had one die last year and I was so sad for a while. I learned from my mistakes but still have a lot of learning.
