Eye problems?

Male veiled, I just got him 4 days ago. I was told he is about a year old. Have been feeding him about 4 crickets a day until I can find somewhere local that has other food sources. most him 3 times a day enough to get the leaves wet in the cage then also have a dripper on the leaves all day is the heat and uvb for about 14 hours. His previous owners must not have handled him because he is hard to get out of his cage due to hissing and trying to bite. And I haven't seen him eat howver crickets are disappearing. Tonight I put him in the shower with warm water to see if it would help with his eyes. And I saw him drink for the first time.

Welcome to the forums. I am sorry to hear that you new chameleon is having eye problems. I recommend taking him to a good chameleon vet. Where do you live? I might be able to help with a good vet. I would continue the warm showers but I really believe he will need an antibiotic to clean up that eye....maybe even more than that. Be sure that you are using the correct supplements and lighting. That can also cause eye problems. I'm attaching my blog for new keepers below. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blo...-keepers-young-veiled-panther-chameleons.html

Poor little guy. I watched your video and that eye is really bothering him. Dr. O a member here is in Melborne. I highly recommend him. He has allot of chameleons and allot of experience. http://www.thescalyvet.com
If Orlando is closed there's Dr. Diaz and Dr. Bruce both recommended chameleon vets.
