Hi guys im in real trouble! Ive just returned from Iraq and my girlfriend has been looking after our 3 year old panther "mojo" but he's got eye problems and i dont know wot to do. He has his right eye closed most of the time and both have become sunken and wont eat. Has anyone got any ideas that could help me please!!!

Many thanks Jamie :(

I also think its dehydrated, usually sunken eyes a huge sign of this, so it needs much water, as soon as possible. (Although I have seen sunken eyes
from possible pain.) But get water as best you can in him. Holding a dripper in front of his good eye and usually they take it. There may be other things going on, so get water in him and go to the Vet for the other things like a Eye infection. Also If he is eating you can inject water into the food source & get the water in that way to, or just shoot it in his mouth while chewing or if you can make him open it on his own.

What kind of lighting are you using? What kind of gut load and feeders do you have? Where are you located? How often do you mist?

You could also order some of this up. Most likely your issue is a Vitamin A deficiency. you can buy Vit A pills at the drug store and feed one or two to your crickets and then feed off the crickets to your panther or you can use a needle to remove some gel from a pill and inject a hornworm or silkworm with the vit A.

You could maybe try starting with this: Terramycin

Great pictures, they should be put on EVERY forum that people use those bulbs on. (I was once guilty of this myself!)

As was I.... The one on the left killed my 4 month old ambanja before I knew what the issue was...... the one on the right came to me in a hood when I acquired when I got Henry (my Melleri). His keeper before said she never used them (there were two in the hood) and that they came in the hood when her brother gave it to her. Luckily she had Henry outside in natural sunlight and only used the hood for a heat lamp in the morning.

Well it does tend to confuse many people - there is a picture of a chameleon right on it.
