We can't possibly help without more information! Go to the top of this forum, find the sticky message titled "How To Ask For Help" and post the answers to the questions with details. There are too many reasons a cham can sit with closed eyes so we need to tease out the possibilities. Help us help you!

He has sort of caked eyes. Both eyes are like his, he has no trouble moving his eyes but both are closed and he can't open him. He has been hanging on the side of the cage a lot and he just hangs there for most of the day

veiled chameleons eyes closed

I have a 6 month old female veiled chameleon's eyes have been closed for 3 weeks and I have been hand feeding her. At first I thought the coconut bricks we were using were getting shavings in her eyes,( which is very possible and highly likely to happen) but after flushing them out the best I could, I read an article about zilla uvb lights putting off uvc which is harmful to chameleon's eyes. I have no doubt in my mind that the light had everything to do with it because our healthy male just passed away the other day and my 5 yr old bearded dragon has shown unhealthy signs after being under the same type of bulb for 5 months. I have taken my chameleon from the light and have been taking care of her for about 2 and a half weeks now by hand and she seems to be making a turn for the better. I will attach a photo. If anybody can help please let me know. I have had reptiles all my life and never had any problems like this. I know I will never purchase another pet from petco because she is the 4th veiled we've gotten from them and all have died but her. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
