eye problems help please.

i have a female vield just over a year now and this morning i noticed that her eyes are swollen, one of her brothers that i gave to a friend at work is having the same problem right now his eyes are also swollen. he has had his eyes washed with just saline water which just made him mad, so now she is trying polysporin eye drops, the vet she has been in contact with doesn't really know about reptiles . the only one in our area has retired.the 2 of them live in diferent locations but i find it wierd that the 2 of them would come down with this so close together. i still have dad, 1 more sister, and 2 brothers.
any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm sorry to hear that your girl is have eye problems. Please post some pictures of her and fill out the Ask For Help Form linked below. Maybe it's something in your husbandry causing it. Sometimes the lighting, plants or branches can cause eye problems. At the first sign of an eye problem with one of my chams, the first thing I do is up their mistings. I give them a couple extra misting and use very warm water for all there mistings and mist longer than normal. If that doesn't help, in a day or two I contact my vet and either I go in for a visit or he calls me in some eye meds. Sometimes he also does a culture to find out exactly what the infection is and puts them on an oral antibiotic.
