Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon -3 yr old, Male, Panther
Handling – Rarely. 1-2 times a day the past week to apply eye drops
Feeding – Mostly crickets, with some mealworms here and there. Fed every other day. Dusted with Calcuim (no vit D). Calcium w/ Vit D twice a month. Herptavite twice a month
Supplements – Can’t remember brand name off the top of my head.
Watering – Dripper on top of cage. Until the past week, I got out of the habit of misting. The hygrometer in the cage showed that humidity stayed in the 60-70% range
Fecal Description – All normal. No parasite tests done.
History – Never had a problem before.

Cage Info:
Cage Type – Medium (18x18x24) screen cage.
Lighting – Reptisun 5.0 UV light (T18 size). I JUST changed this bulb a little over a week ago. Coincidence?
Temperature – Lowest overnight is 60f, but usually around 67f. basking around 90f.
Humidity – 60-70%. A hygrometer half way down the enclosure.
Plants – real plants. Can’t remember names, but I know they are both OK for cham’s (got the names off the list here)
Placement – cage is somewhat isolated. Very little traffic most of the day. Top of cage is about 2’ from ceailing.
Location – Mid-Atlantica

Current Problem – Eye problem. It’s just the left eye and started shortly after I changed the Reptisun bulb (same as previous bulb). Gooey discharge from eye and somewhat whitish. Started applying cipro eye drops, 1 drop twice a day. Down to just once a day once it started to clear up. But now his eye opening is much smaller and that part of the turret seems hard. Some of the old goo is crusted on the outside of the turret as well. Should I up the cipro drops back to twice a day? With the eye hole so small, they don’t seem to actually get into the eye now.

im sorry to hear you cham is having issues! could you please post some pics of the affected eye so we can get a look of what is going on?
edit: i see you are posting now

He seems to be able to see ok for the most part. He can focus both eyes and snatch a cricket with his tongue.

I also forgot to mention that I feed him wild stink bugs that are found around the house. He loves them.
