Eye issue

Have a Panther chameleon that has a left eye problem of some sort. Very rarely completely open there is some yellow jelly like stuff that's constantly in the eye, if I don't remove it (I'm very careful) then it becomes hard and covers the eye lids together completely, when removed he can open his eye like normal for a day or less, it just keeps coming back. Yes I'm currently seeing a vet., but no progress.
I'll attach a photo.

So I am looking at everything overall in these pics. This chameleon is sick. I am betting the eye is actually an infection. Then if you look at the lip line below there is swelling. You see this with mouth rot. I am not sure what the vet you saw prescribed but if it was the correct thing to treat the actual issue going on then you would see a rebound in health and it would clear up.

But the most concerning aspects are the fact that the turrets are so far in and how sunk in the casque is. You see this with extremely sick chams that are in a full decline. I would recommend getting him into a reptile vet that knows chams asap. This boy will not make it long without the actual health issue being treated correctly.
