What can you do to help this.I have a hatchling that may have an eye infection
that has closed both eyes and they are crusted over.Any suggestions on
helping this problem it is very small and I do not want to handle him.

You could try misting him very gently with a very fine mist and wiping the crusty bits gently away...but it might be best to let a vet look at it if this doesn't clear it up quickly. Be careful not to get any into its lungs.

not sure if it would be the best thing but what if you tried wetting a q-tip and very gently wiping his eye with it.

I would mist him with warm water more than usual and keep trying to remove the crust this happend to my 4 month old veiled with one eye I increased mistings and I went to walgreens and bought refresh tears and also stuck it in his eye twice a day for almost a week...but with the refresh tears its hard to get in their eyes so you have to get a drop hanging from the bottle and kind of stick it in their eye

You can try to spray multiple times with warm water and if that doesn't work you could give some plain saline solution a try, you should be able to find it for 3 bucks at a local pharmacy and most grocery stores have it as well!
